Artist Dave Young and his team of heritage craft practitioners have put together a spectacular display of massive handcrafted illuminated sheep. These light structures have been meticulously made from a variety of recycled materials including textiles, willow and salvaged junk. His work is collaborative, wistful, and humorous, filled with joy, created for the love of it and made with blood sweat and tears. As you make your way to the Riverwalk, look out for the other larger than life illuminated sheep lighting the way between Crook Hall and the Riverwalk. They will be located at Crook Hall, the roundabout at Sidegate, Radisson Hotel Framwellgate Waterside and in front of Odeon at the Riverwalk. Don’t miss Durham’s premiere event of 2023. Come and make a night of it on our terraces, graze and enjoy an illuminating experience in one of our fabulous bars and restaurants.
