Tourism

The Riverwalk is in the heart of Durham’s historic city and a great place to relax between visiting the spectacular heritage sites and rich, beautifully preserved history of the area. Durham’s famous Castle and Cathedral are just a stone’s throw away and there are plenty more interesting things to do and see in this wonderful county.

At different times of the year there’s always a wide range of great events going on, so keep an eye on our events section of the website. We’ll also let you know if there are any special offers for a great day out.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay so you can enjoy a little more discovery time, there is a great selection of hotels, we have listed a few of our favourites below.
