Delilah the Elephant Comes to The Riverwalk Durham This August!
Looking for a fantastic family day out in Durham this summer? Head to The Riverwalk Durham on Saturday 22nd August for a day full of fun, creativity and unforgettable entertainment.
In partnership with Moving Parts Arts, The Riverwalk is bringing the amazing Delilah the Elephant to Durham for a series of special appearances throughout the day. Watch as this larger-than-life elephant roams around The Riverwalk, delighting visitors of all ages and providing the perfect opportunity for some memorable family photos.
Meet Delilah the Elephant
Delilah will be making appearances at the following times:
- 11:30am
- 1:30pm
- 2:30pm
Each appearance will last approximately 30 minutes, giving everyone plenty of chance to see her up close.
Packed Lunch Puppets Workshop
Children can also enjoy the Packed Lunch Puppets Workshop, where they'll transform everyday recycled items into fun and imaginative puppet creations.
Using materials such as:
- Crisp packets
- Yoghurt pots
- Cardboard
- Egg boxes
- Milk bottles
young visitors can create their own unique characters while discovering how recycling can be both creative and enjoyable. Whether it's an egg box monster or a milk bottle moose, every puppet is one of a kind!
